Splendor Tribe

splendorannouncement2018pic

We began a new season in September of 2018 it all started as I began praying and waiting on the LORD.  This new season in our women’s ministry at Kingdom Point has been amazing so far.  You will find below a brief overview of the transition that began last year.  This is what the Lord put on my heart at that time and I am excited to say it has been good.

Don’t worry I think that you all will be just as excited as I am about the direction that we are about to embark on.  It all begins with a new name, but before I share that with you I want to talk about the significance of a name.

Your name and my name are significant.  In fact, in Scripture a name routinely carries with it the idea of power, responsibility, purpose and authority.  A name not only expresses the essence and significance of what is being named but also, when duly authorized, accesses the quality it conveys.  In Scripture, God reveals Himself to us through His names.  A name is so important in biblical settings that Scripture frequently mentions God Himself changing someone’s name to reflect a new reality.

The name “Women of Destiny” is powerful and it was entrusted to me, but I believe it is NOW time for us to have a new name.  We will be known as “SPLENDOR” and I can’t wait to share with you why it is such a wonderful name.

SPLENDOR – radiance, glory, brilliance, brightness, luster, blaze, glimmer, elegance, shine, and dignity

These are all words that convey the essence of splendor.  The scripture below also conveys the essence of God’s love and devotion for HIS daughters and ultimately the way HE views us.

Isaiah 62:3 – You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand,

a royal diadem in the hand of your GOD.

I believe ladies that this is who we are, and that NOW GOD desires for us to walk and live as women of splendor.  A beautiful work fashioned in HIS hands with regal dignity.  I hope you will embrace and receive HIS words over you and me that you are a woman of splendor in HIS mighty hands.
